The Exponential hurt of a heartbreak
When you’re old
Wounds from the past you thought were healed gape open and ooze out [the serum of] harm previously inflicted
The pain is deep and personal and a past memory becomes current and present
The exponential hurt of a heart break
When you’re old
Doesn’t feel good
You thought you knew better
You feel like such a fool
(I’m too old for this crap)
Embarrassment of another failed flight
The exponential hurt of a heart break
When you’re old
Time stands still to allow a minute to lick your wounds
A kind supportive word friend helps a little to remind you that you are loved.
Embrace the warm-felt intention
The exponential hurt of a heart break
When you’re old
This too shall pass
And you know that’s your truth.

Homeless Tears – Tears of Grief
Oh.
The.
Pain.
Whether you miss someone
Ache for someone…or thing
Tears of grief cannot be denied
Try to choke them back
You nearly choke yourself
Really try to “hold it together”
Your heart may rebel; your digestive system may kick up
Allow these tears of grief to flow
They have no home inside of YOU!
I will never forget the time when I was at the vet
I saw a big, muscular tough looking man; cry intently because he had just put his dog down.
He did not cry like a baby; or he did not cry like a girl!
He cried like a man who lost his best friend, his companion.
Don’t hold back your tears of grief
They have no home inside of YOU!
These homeless tears of grief are contagious.
I dare you to watch a young child cry over the loss of a grandparent and not shed a tear or two.
That was how I felt when Christian said “Grandmother, I didn’t know it was you.”
He was eight and now he is gone at 26.
The tears of grief are palatable
They are large and heavy…
And if the human body wasn’t so much water, we might just shrivel up crying tears…
Because tears of grief are like someone is strangling your soul!
Squeezing are tight as they can…
Tears of grief are homeless
They have no place in you.

Kiss Fear Goodbye
Kiss Fear goodbye
And send him on his way
There are others that need him for protection of their day
You see, fear has a purpose
To shield us from harm
But we humans take it to another level
When we walk with him arm and arm
Oh fear, my dearest
You have kept me from danger
However, I now need you to be a stranger toward the dreams I have in mind
Because those dreams will never be realized with you by my side
So fear, dear
I bid you adieu
Go where you are needed,
Save a life or two!
Yeah, I thought you heard
I’m kicking you to the curb
You will no longer rain on my parade
I don’t need your aid
My dreams will be acquired
I am achieving my heart’s desire!

YOUR HEART’S DESIRE
Imagine what the world would be if everyone did their heart’s desire?
I mean, what your child heart wanted — innocence.
A child’s heart does not desire to harm or hurt.
I believe the Universe has a balance of all that’s needed with human hearts’ desires.
Imagine the delight each and every one would feel, waking each morning knowing that they were going to do exactly what they wanted to do — in their heart.
There would be a calm secure feeling worldwide.
No envy, jealously, no blaming…
Everyone would be in their own bliss.
Sharing.
Joyful.
Supportive.
Happy with the cycle of life.
Doing their (our) heart’s desire.

YOUR SILENCE IS DEAFENING
Sorry not sorry for your inconvenience.
Sorry not sorry that the revolution is Televised, Tweeted, Snapped, Ticktocked, Facebooked, Instaed, and Op-Eded in the New York and Los Angeles Times.
Sorry not sorry if you choose to focus on looters – that you would rather call rioters – shame on you!
Sorry not sorry if you want to focus on George Floyd’s criminal record and the fact that he had drugs in his system.
Sorry not sorry if you want to point out that you think Black Lives Matters is a leftist – in your opinion – organization.
Sorry not sorry that you want to blame Trump – who has nothing to do with this!
I am disheartened that none of the positive stuff is not resonating with you.
Who are you to point out laws that you know nothing about?? You know nothing of racism in the true sense. Racism that started hundreds of years ago when African countrymen and women were torn from their homeland and brought to this foreign land to be enslaved!
It started then and before!!
I am also, sorry you are silent now. This is not the time to be silent, no matter what your opinion.
This is a tipping point in our global society and George Floyd was the lightening rod!
If you do not know what to say – just say I am thinking of you and I love you. I will try to learn.
I do not understand, but I will learn about this and TRY to understand.
Not because I am suggesting you do, but because YOU CHOOSE TO.
Perhaps your children can grow up in a place where racism goes down in the history books as a very dark time on our earth.

A Different Kind of Heartbreak
A different kind of heartbreak
Not a cheat or a lie
But this one goes way deep down inside
You see it’s not like the typical ones that are lyrics to a song
But this one will last very long
True love is a gift, a prize, a blessing
It’s enough for me to know I at least experienced it
Now a soulmate is an extremely rare find
I’m so glad I at least felt the touch of mine
For this is truly unique
However, I’m not all complete
Because the passing was brief
It seems as though
This one I won’t mourn like the rest
Because this is/was a different kind of heartbreak – perhaps for the best
